I am a proud alumnus of Islamabad College for Boys (ICB), where I studied from Nursery to Matric, completing my SSC in 1987. During my time at ICB, I was greatly influenced by Sir Maqsood, my Mathematics teacher, whose guidance left a lasting impact on me.
My fondest memories date back to Class 9D (1985-86), where I built lifelong friendships that I continue to cherish every day. Reflecting on my journey, I encourage young students with these words:
“Believe in yourself, stay curious, and never stop learning. Success comes from hard work, taking risks, and building strong relationships. Your journey starts now—make the most of it!”
I’m proud to be an alumnus of Islamabad College for Boys, Class of 1987. My journey from here took me into the world of banking and finance, where I’ve spent over two decades working in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Pakistan with both global and local banks.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with institutions like HSBC, Standard Chartered, and the Pakistan Credit Rating Agency (PACRA), specializing in corporate and commercial banking, structured trade finance, risk management, and financial crime investigation. Today, as a financial consultant, I help businesses streamline their operations, optimize financial strategies, and navigate complex financial landscapes.
Looking back, I can say that my time at Islamabad College for Boys played a key role in shaping my journey. The values and lessons I learned here have stayed with me throughout my career. It’s always a pleasure to reconnect and share my experiences with fellow alumni and future generations.
